Desizing is an important process in the treatment of fabrics. Not only does it remove sizes from fabrics, but also removes a number of impurities from cotton fibres. A good desizing treatment product does not affect finishing and dyeing, reduces yarn breakages and increases productivity.

Of all denim processing methods, stone washing is certainly the one most interconnected with socio-cultural influences. Originally, the process employed the use of real pumice stones to soften the fabric and make it ideal for creating the “worn” effect, a style loved by young people in the 70s, but which never went out of fashion in the following decades either.
Prompted by ecological issues, the large industrial concerns decided to use special enzymes to induce the same worn effect on denim. Our Performing line embraces the innovative and eco-sustainable nature of this process and today is one of the best solutions on the market for creating the stone-washed effect.

When stonewashing denim there is inevitably a release of indigo colour typical of the fabric. With the use of our dispersants we ensure the maintaining of the dyes in suspension thereby avoiding that they redeposit on the processed fabric (antiback staining).
